Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Alpha Dev ("we", "us") collects through alphadevhq.com and the Alpha Dev Stores platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, Alpha Dev Stores account holders, and visitors to stores published on the platform.
1. Who we are
Alpha Dev is a web and app development studio based in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. For any privacy question, reach us at ichukwugozirim@gmail.com or through the Instagram and Facebook links on our site.
2. What we collect
When you create an Alpha Dev Stores account: your email address, phone number, and a hashed password. Your phone number is used to send a one-time verification code.
When you build a store: the business details you enter — business name, category, tagline, bio, logo, photos, address, hours, phone number, and any social media links you add. Once published, this content is public and visible to anyone who visits your store's page, and may appear in our Explore directory if approved.
When you subscribe to a plan: payment is processed by our payment provider, Paystack. We do not see or store your card details — we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus a transaction reference.
Automatically: basic visit counts for each published store (to show owners their own traffic), and standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept for security and debugging.
If you contact us directly (email, Instagram, Facebook, or a custom project enquiry), we keep whatever you send us to respond to you and deliver the work discussed.
3. Why we collect it
- To create and secure your account, and verify you control the phone number you provide.
- To build, publish, and operate the store you design.
- To process subscription payments and keep your store's billing status accurate.
- To show you how your store is performing (visit counts).
- To respond to support requests and, where applicable, deliver custom development work.
- To keep the platform secure and investigate abuse.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the platform, each of whom only receives what they need to do their job:
- Cloudinary — stores and serves uploaded images (logos, gallery photos).
- Neon — hosts our Postgres database.
- Vercel — hosts the application itself.
- Paystack — processes subscription payments.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. We only disclose it further if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Alpha Dev, our users, or the public.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser's local storage to remember your light/dark theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your account and store data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete it, we will remove your personal data and unpublish your store within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records (e.g. payment history) to meet legal or accounting obligations.
7. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, or restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email ichukwugozirim@gmail.com.
8. Children
Alpha Dev Stores is intended for business owners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical steps to protect your data (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, trusted infrastructure providers), but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
